Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what Scify Technologies Private Limited ("Scify", "we") collects when you use the Scipher code editor (the "App"), the website scipher.scify-tech.com and the Scipher cloud AI service (together, the "Service"), and how we use it.
1. What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash) and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID, name, email and profile picture.
- Billing details: plan, subscription status, amounts and payment references. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment providers (Razorpay, PayPal); we never see or store them.
- AI requests: when you use a cloud model, the prompt and the code context the App sends are processed to generate the reply. We keep usage records (model, token counts, credits, time) for billing and limits, and we keep the text of your prompts so you can see your prompt history in your dashboard. You can ask us to delete it.
- Device and security data: IP address, approximate country, browser / app version and sign-in times, used to protect your account (for example new sign-in alerts) and to show prices in your currency.
- Emails: a log of the emails we send you (type, time, delivery status), not their content.
2. What we don't collect
- Local AI: models that run on your PC process everything on your device. Nothing from those requests is sent to us.
- Your code and files stay on your computer. Only the context you send with a cloud AI request leaves it.
- We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal data.
- We do not use your code or prompts to train AI models, and our AI providers are contractually not allowed to either.
3. How we use it
To provide and secure the Service, run your account and subscription, apply credits and limits, process payments, send account and billing emails (receipts, renewal reminders, security alerts), give support, and fix problems. If you opt in, we also send product news; every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
4. Who processes data for us
- AI providers: Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock) and Google (Gemini API) process cloud AI requests on our behalf.
- Payments: Razorpay (India) and PayPal.
- Email: Google Workspace.
- Sign-in: Google, if you choose "Continue with Google".
- Hosting: our servers on Amazon Web Services.
We share data only as needed to run the Service, or when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Usage records and prompt history are kept for as long as your account is active, unless you ask us to delete them. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
6. Your rights
You can see and update your details in your dashboard, download or delete your data, withdraw consent for newsletters at any time, and object to processing. Email connect@scify-tech.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you are in India, you have the rights given by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; if you are in the EU/UK, the rights under the GDPR.
7. Security
Connections use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sign-in links are single-use and expire, and payment and AI provider keys stay on our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or under the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above. For significant changes we'll also email you.
