Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Scify Technologies Private Limited ("Scify", "we") for the Scipher code editor (the "App"), the website and the Scipher cloud AI service (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them.
1. Your account
You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service.
2. Plans, credits and payment
- The Free plan includes a monthly credit allowance and a daily request limit. Paid plans include more.
- Each cloud AI request uses credits based on the model and the tokens used. Unused credits don't carry over to the next period.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, either automatically (auto-renew) or by paying each month yourself. Prices include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout.
- You can cancel at any time; you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we decide to refund at our discretion.
- If a payment fails, we may move your account to the Free plan after a short grace period.
- We may change prices with notice; the new price applies from your next billing period.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to break the law, harm others, create malware or attack systems you don't own, send spam, infringe others' rights, try to get around limits or billing, resell access without our permission, or overload or reverse-engineer the cloud service. We may suspend accounts that do.
4. Your code and AI output
- You own your code, prompts and the output the AI generates for you, to the extent the law allows.
- You give us permission to process your requests only to provide the Service. We don't use your content to train AI models.
- AI output can be wrong, insecure or similar to existing code. Review and test it before you use it. You're responsible for how you use it.
5. Our software
We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the App. Scipher is based on open-source software (including Code - OSS by Microsoft, under the MIT licence); those components stay under their own licences, which are included with the App. The Scipher name, logo and cloud service belong to Scify.
6. Availability
We work to keep the Service available, but it may sometimes be down for maintenance or because of problems with us or our providers. Models may be added, changed or retired. Current status: status.scify-tech.com.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Scify isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, with notice where reasonable.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and, for significant changes, email you. If you keep using the Service after the change, the new terms apply.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
